How it works
As a mum of two, I know firsthand how quickly time flies. One minute you’re trying to get to grips with breastfeeding, the next minute you’re installing stair gates around the house to protect your on-the-move baby.
You’re part of the Baby Club now, so you can relax knowing that all your baby’s important milestones will be captured beautifully on camera, for you to record an amazing keepsake of his first two years of life.
As with all my photoshoots, having fun and being relaxed is my top priority. I’ll get to know your baby and have a little play with her before we even start photographing so that she trusts me. It’s usually a real giggle in the studio, with music and toys setting the scene.
Unique Illustration Art
As a Baby Club member, you have unlocked access to an exclusive product line that’s only available to you as part of the Club. In this range, I offer my premium illustration art which can really elevate your photos to the next level.
If you’re looking for some outstanding nursery wall art, want to create a unique piece of art as a gift or even just update your own walls, then look no further!
Creating magic
I’ve teamed up with local illustrator and mum Lauren Rolfe to create some magical animal designs that are printed directly onto your favourite photo of your growing child. You can choose your child’s favourite animal or suggest a totally unique animal design for Lauren to design bespoke (for a minimal additional fee). Nobody else will have wall art like this!
Once you have your unique design and work of art, you can then choose to add it to a storyboard image documenting all different sides of your baby’s personality or print it as a standalone image.
You can also use the illustrations to celebrate your child’s first birthday (in the standing up/ first birthday session), with beautiful hand-drawn balloons to capture the mood. Elegant, unique and beautiful… the choice is yours.
Can’t decide what to print?
Also exclusive to Baby Club members is the chance for you to choose multiple images of your baby looking amazing, within one overall wall frame. I have classic designs for 3, 4, 6 or 9 images of your child.
So if you can’t decide on one overall photo that best ‘sums up’ your baby, you can build your very own storyboard. In my studio, you’ll be able to see samples and mock-ups so you can decide what’s best for you.
Whatever you choose, you’ll love your sessions
I start each session interacting with your child, asking them to show me what interests them. I build a friendly rapport from the get-go. It’s like a mini play-date where we all have fun – there’s no point photographing if your child is nervous or anxious of me, so it’s worth spending time to build up this trust first.
Most children (and parents!) have a lovely time, they forget the camera is even there and many older kids ask their parents to come back to Louisa’s for another session!
Typically, the Club sitting and standing up sessions take place in my fully equipped studio. And then the family session takes place any time in year two when your child is running around and ‘full of beans’, exploring the world with an insatiable appetite!
At the end of the three photoshoots, you can expect to have built up a unique gallery documenting your child’s path from babydom to toddlerhood. What an amazing record to pass onto your kids as they grow up, or to gift to grandparents.

FAQs
How long does a sitting up or standing session take?
Usually, depending on how your baby is feeling and whether she’s enjoying the session, the photoshoots in my studio can last around 45 minutes to 1 hour and a half. All these sessions are in my warm studio where we take plenty of breaks for Baby to interact with toys, sing along to music or have a giggle.
How do we know what age to complete the Baby Club sessions?
I’m really flexible with timings, and of course the decision is yours as to when you want to capture your little one’s growth. Typically, most parents choose their first session for when Baby is sitting up unaided. This is a lovely time as their little personalities are coming out now. A lot of families save the second session to coincide with Baby’s first birthday. This also means Baby is usually standing up by now or even jumping and can show off some moves!
The third session is a full-on family photoshoot outdoors, to take place within Baby’s second year. This session is completely free of charge and captures Baby with both parents having fun and messing about in their local park. This can take place whenever you feel your baby is able to move and walk independently without falling over and hurting themselves; so they can have a lovely play in the park.
What should I wear to a family photoshoot?
In our pre-session consultation I’ll talk you through what colours look good based on the time of year and the backdrops we have available in the park. Generally speaking, less is more so I’d opt for plain, solid colour blocks. I’ll also send you a free guide on what to wear so you can prepare – and trust me, it’s easier than you might think.
What if we forget to book in our sessions?
Don’t worry, I’m a mum as well and I know how hard it is to keep on top of little things when you’re full on during the week. I will send you gentle reminders a few weeks before each session is ‘due’ and we’ll work out a sensible plan for fitting your baby’s growth photoshoots in.
How do I get a bespoke illustration onto my child’s portrait?
I have an amazing range of animal designs that we can fit onto one of your favourite portraits, to really elevate the photo art to the next level. As part of the range, I feature bunny rabbits, mice, elephants, butterflies and birthday balloons. If there’s a certain animal you adore and want to feature, I can source it for you for an additional minimal fee.
What happens if a sibling comes along?
A lot can happen in two years! By the time we reach your family photoshoot outdoors in year two, many parents might have grown their families by then and had another baby. Of course, it’s fine to bring siblings and even pets to the outdoors family photoshoots. The more the merrier! By now your baby will be the big boy and it will be lovely to capture this interaction between him and his younger sibling.
