The Louisa Peacock Experience
What to expect
Your top baby photographer, North London – The Process:
1. Consultation
2. The Photoshoot
3. Viewing and Ordering appointment
4. Delivery
1. Consultation
Before you even turn up at my studio, I’ll call you for around 15 minutes to discuss what you’re hoping to get from me, your premier baby photographer, North London.
It might sound like a funny question, but why are you getting this photoshoot done? Why now? What do you want to do with the portraits you’ll get? Are you thinking of hanging the best ones on the wall, to see and enjoy them everyday, or would you rather a flick-through album to have and to hold every once in a while?
We’ll also talk through the colours, tones and vibes of the photoshoot: what neutral colours and textures do you like and what sort of ‘look’ are you going for?
The more you can think about what you like and what you want, the more I can help plan how to get there.
2. Photoshoot
The photoshoot experience from your top baby photographer, North London, is just that; an experience which is relaxed, memorable and above all, fun.
When you walk through the doors, you can unwind, grab a cuppa and take some time to yourself on one of my comfy sofas. I’ll gently rock your baby in my arms until he falls asleep and is ready to be photographed.
My photoshoots are COVID-compliant; the room is well ventilated and deep cleaned after every session. I also wear a face mask and gloves, with my hair tied back as well as fresh, clean clothes.
Baby first!
The session is very much baby-led, if he needs changing, feeding or a cuddle, there’s plenty of time for this so the shoot never feels rushed or uneasy. My firstborn was a very sensitive baby and so I’m used to babies who can’t settle easily. Often I don’t start photographing until half an hour after you arrive, to make sure Baby is fully comfortable.
I typically start photographing babies on the blanket bed first, using the colours and textures we’ve talked about in the Consultation stage, moving to the floor and backdrops a little later in the session. We’ll also do some flattering ‘parent shots’ of you with your baby; believe me you’ll thank me for it in years to come even if you don’t feel like doing this now 🙂
You can relax
Above all, you can sit back and relax while I take care of the whole session. I have undergone extensive training in handling newborns safely and being a mum of two, I can reassure you that I am confident holding and posing babies safely.
3. Ordering Appointment
After the photoshoot, you get to come into my studio to watch a beautiful slideshow of your portraits on the big screen. This is always really fun and unique; it’s like watching a mini movie of your own life!
You’ll see a variety of photographs from your photoshoot, with a mix of colour and black and white.
This appointment is set up for you to then pick your favourite portraits and, perhaps most importantly, decide what it is you’re going to do with them. As your trusted baby photographer, North London, I will guide you every step of the way so that you can choose between images and design whether to print them for the walls or for an album.
Try before you buy!
You’ll of course get to see examples of how I think your portraits could look on the wall. Right there and then, I can design different displays in front of your eyes until you find something that you love.
We will also go through any albums or portrait boxes you might like to display prints in, again, choosing any finishes or special customisations in the appointment itself.
Most clients leave the appointment having decided on any wall art or albums they want to buy. This means they don’t go home feeling pressure to work it all out amidst the throws of trying to care for a newborn baby!
Now all you have to do is sit back, relax and look forward to delivery.
4. Delivery
After around 2-4 weeks, your wall art and albums will be ready for collection or delivery if you live locally. I check all the pieces personally, including whether the colour of the print is exactly how you’ve seen it on my screen.
I gift wrap all of my prints and albums and deliver them to you as a luxury gift, one you can feel so much excitement and pride in receiving. You can then enjoy them hanging on your walls every day, and I promise you, as I’m consistently reviewed one of the best baby photographers in North London, your art pieces will give you that warm and fuzzy feeling every time you walk past!
Optional extras
I also offer a range of grandparent gifts, such as smaller albums, which can be packaged and wrapped separately. What better way to include family after the birth of your new baby girl than to send them a framed portrait or mini photobook? Especially in these current COVID times where some grandparents have sadly not been able to physically see their grandchildren a lot, if at all.
