Christmas mini session, north London: what to expect
It’s that time of year again – well, nearly! (It’ll be here quicker than you think).
I know you’re a busy mum, especially at this time of year, but you’d love some up-to-date pictures of your little one that doesn’t take all day. Sound familiar?
So why not book a Christmas mini? It’s a 30-min photoshoot set in my classic and simple studio in the heart of Muswell Hill.
I deliberately keep things neutral and classic – just a few props and light effects are all you need to get that Christmassy feeling!
Having fun
The focus is very much on your baby or children. Allowing them to be themselves, mess about, have a giggle – it’s kind of like a mini playdate.
You turn up at your booked slot, have a cup of coffee, we all mess around together in the studio and the kids will forget the camera is there!
So many children love my photoshoots that they ask their mums and dads if they can come back for more 🙂

You’ll feel very at ease during my Christmas mini sessions, north London, which last half an hour. I’ll have one plain white Christmas set up ready for you and we’ll make the most of the time.
I’ll spend a few moments getting to know your baby before I pick the camera up, making sure they’re comfortable and happy. I’ve photographed over 100 babies so have many tricks up my sleeve for making them feel at ease and helping us all to enjoy it. Come join in!!
Please note my Christmas mini sessions are for children between 3 months to 18 years of age only; no adults! Sessions are limited to siblings only. This is to get the most out of the time we have. If you’d prefer a longer session with all the family, please see my Family Photoshoots page.

This includes:
- a 30 minute Christmas mini session at my studio in Muswell Hill,
- 10 images fully edited,

Extra prints are available to purchase but there’s no obligation.
Louisa is incredibly talented. I did a maternity photoshoot with her, and from the second I walked through the door, she made me feel confident and comfortable enough that I relaxed throughout the session and actually had quite a lot of fun despite being slightly apprehensive going in. Her work absolutely blew me away, and I would recommend any and every pregnant woman out there to get Louisa to capture this unique and fleeting moment.
I loved my maternity shoot. Louisa was friendly and professional and put me at complete ease during the photo session. I’ve not really had many photographs taken of me while pregnant in the past. I have tended to hide myself away in the background in blanket coats and loose dresses or behind strategically placed family members! So making my pregnant body the star of the show was far beyond my comfort zone. However I left the studio feeling relaxed and more confident in myself.
I’m so glad that I took the chance to document what is highly likely to be my final pregnancy and see myself in a different light through her work.

I had a wonderful experience getting my maternity photos taken with Louisa. She made the shoot itself a great experience with her expert, positive guidance, and we ended up with some beautiful, very natural photos as a result.
FAQs
How long does a Christmas mini session, North London, take?
The photoshoot really will last 30 minutes, not longer! This is to keep it simple and easy, you can do it on the way to the shops, or fit it around your busy schedule.
What happens if my baby (or child) really isn’t enjoying it and we run out of time?
I’ve never had this happen yet! Even if a baby arrives a little bit unsettled, by the time I’ve begun playing with them, giving them new toys, chatting to them and putting gentle music on, they are happy and having fun.
Of course, no photoshoot is fun with a very distressed child and I wouldn’t photograph just for the sake of it. If your baby did not manage to settle at all during the session then I can reschedule it free of charge.
Can I bring my other kids along?
Of course you can! To make the most use of the time, I’d recommend only siblings and not including parents in this session. If you wanted a full-blown family photoshoot with lots of different poses, more family members and more time then see here.
When / how will we get to view the images?
I will send you your own private viewing gallery within 10 days of the photshoot. Any holiday cards and matted prints will arrive within 1 week of ordering them. So – in plenty of time for the festive season!
What if I wanted to buy more prints or digital images?
My Christmas mini sessions are designed to be a one-sized package, giving you everything you need in one easy step. For the £295, you get 10 digital images, a set of holiday cards and one large matted print.
However, if you wanted to buy more than this, you can. I am what’s called a ‘full service studio’ and offer a variety of wall frames, photo books and desk frames.
Perhaps you’d like all the digitals I take (could be anywhere between 10-20), or maybe you’d like more printed wall art for family gifts. I can talk you through all the options when you get here – just ask!
Are all the photographs going to be in a Christmas theme?
Not necessarily. My Christmas mini set up is timeless, neutral and classic: much like my other baby photography. If you wanted to see a mixture of photographs with some Christmas lighting effects, for example, and some plain with just a white background – focusing purely on your beautiful baby! – that’s fine.
There is only one set up on the day. I won’t be changing backdrops but if there’s time, I can do a few ‘plain’ and uninterrupted portraits of your children without any Christmas props, so that you can have some keepsake photos that’ll look good on the wall at any time of year!
