London studio baby photos: First look
Behind The Scenes: Sisters Photoshoot Watch me during London studio baby photos session – how cute are those girls?

If you ever wondered what it would be like to get some London studio baby photos done, this page is for you.
My first clients after national lockdown this year were a gorgeous family who’ve just given birth to a new baby girl, Elizabeth.
Her big sister Sarah was also in the shot as well as a very proud Mum and Dad.
Capturing the moment
I absolutely love moments like this; when the whole family comes together to capture a moment in time.
It’s chaos. Unpredictable. Fun.
Sarah, now three, has just started preschool and is loving it. Elizabeth is three weeks old. It’s a wonderful whirlwind of a time and we captured some really lovely studio baby photos, capturing emotions throughout the newborn photoshoot: warm, touching moments that mean so much now but also will mean SO much in the future.
When Sarah goes to Big School, and when Elizabeth starts walking, Mum and Dad will look back on these amazing photos with such fond memories.
Behind The Scenes
There’s a little glimpse of me burrowing into my newborn posing area to take the perfect shot of Sarah cocooning Elizabeth, in the video at the top of this page. Soooo sweet.
And yes, we had salty pretzels on hand to get us through this shot; Sarah wasn’t a huge fan of being photographed at first but after playing with my special box of toys (I have a three year old too so have plenty to hand!) and a few pretzels here and there, she was as good as gold!!
And the above photo is the final edited version of that shot. Adorable!
Your kids don’t need to ‘behave’
And that’s the thing. Your kids, no matter what age they are, don’t have to be perfectly behaved at all. In fact it makes for really interesting and great photo moments when they are just being themselves, messing about, laughing, dancing or just staring… or even crying.
It’s ok. We’ll cheer them up and get them involved in a way that they like.
I generally don’t ask the kids to ‘smile’ as it puts too much pressure on them. I just want them to be them. To relax and feel comfortable and so I can capture all sorts of expressions.
And wow, Sarah and Elizabeth looking so relaxed and cute like this? This photo is worth a million dollars!
