Nice to meet you
I’m Louisa, a artistic fine art photographer living in the beautiful seaside town of Whitstable, Kent.
I am drawn to creating ethereal, dreamy portraits outside in nature. Living so close to the sea I can make use of our vast Kent skies and beautiful clouds and sunsets for truly original and outstanding images.
I began creating fine art photography three years ago, after the sudden loss of my mum and a serious personal illness in the same year — an experience that became a profound wake-up call.
Like many artists before me, I draw inspiration from the British coastline, finding solace in the shifting seascapes and Turner skies. Through dreamlike photographs, I explore themes of authenticity and homecoming as a path toward healing and personal growth. Today, I continue this work from my studio in Whitstable.
Through the lens of photography, I aim to remind people that they are already enough just as they are. I want to encourage them to let go of performing, to celebrate their individuality, and to live with intention and authenticity.

Life is for living. All we have is the here and now; live like you really mean it. You can’t change the past and the future hasn’t happened yet. So embrace the present moment.

What is Artistic Fine Art Photography?
Artistic fine art photography is less about recording what something looked like, and more about expressing how it felt.
Each image is created with intention. Light, composition, colour and space are all carefully considered to shape a mood or idea. Nothing is accidental, but nothing feels forced either.
Rather than documenting a moment as it happens, fine art photography allows for interpretation. It brings a quieter, more thoughtful approach, where the image becomes a reflection of both the subject and the artist behind the lens.
You may notice a sense of stillness, a focus on detail, or a softness in the way a moment is held. These are deliberate choices, designed to create photographs that feel timeless rather than tied to a trend.
At its heart, artistic fine art photography is about creating something lasting. An image that sits comfortably in your space, not just as a memory, but as a piece of art in its own right.
